They feed their chickens orgainc feed from Thayer feeds of Thayer, Kansas. They also sometimes feed them produce scraps that they pick up here from The Merc's produce department. Their chickens live cage free, and they hope to be free range after they get a fence put up. Thier eggs come in 6-packs and their logo is a drawing done by the Blackwood's granddaughter. If you would like more info about eggs from Blackwood Farm, plese contact Rick or Marc here at The Merc's grocery department and we will call the farm with your question. We continue to welcome local, small farm egg producers, as we try to limit the number of eggs we have to purchase from larger, more distant farms.
