The Merc Deli's New Fall Menu is Here!

Prepare Your Tastebuds For Some Exciting New Flavors

On October 1st,  The Merc's deli rolled out more dishes at once than at any time since our remodel in 2007. While we kept many of our proven favorites, we also added many new items, giving us the largest selection we’ve ever had in The Merc Deli!

This new Fall Menu was created in inspiration, is prepared with skill, and is offered to you with joy.  Enjoy these descriptions of some of our new items. Once we have whet your appetite, come in and indulge your taste buds.

Potato Bacon Blue: A bacon and blue cheese vinaigrette over roasted new potatoes. Simple, yes. The fact is, we don’t need to complicate things when flavor buddies like these get to cuddling. People close their eyes when they taste this.

Spicy Chili Sweet Potatoes: Seasoned spicy sweet potato wedges are roasted and tossed with cherry tomatoes, red onions, cilantro and Merc-made paneer cheese. All of this is tossed with a little fresh lime juice for a refreshing and hearty new dish. Think chili fries without the mess, and with fresh vegetables and joy.

Picada Meatloaf: Picada is a Spanish mixture usually made with toasted, olive oil-soaked bread, nuts and parsley.  What we’ve done is replaced the bread with our Spanish rice and used this delicious mixture to make a new gluten-free meatloaf.  If you’ve ever wondered if you can use rice and almonds to replace bread and milk in a meatloaf, the answer is yes!

Orzo Salad: Orzo pasta tossed with thinly sliced raw shallots, an orange vinaigrette, and supreme slices of fresh orange make for a light fall pasta salad, a perfect companion to any lunch or dinner.
