K-State Extension Dining with Diabetes Online

The Dining with Diabetes Online course is provided by Kansas State University Research and Extension educators and certified Dining with Diabetes course instructors and is designed for adults with type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, and their family members, caregivers, and support persons. This course helps individuals learn strategies to manage their diabetes through menu planning, carbohydrate counting, portion control, and label reading.

The primary portion of this course will start on March 8, 2021 and will end on April 5, 2021 (after module 4). The final module “Dining Out with Diabetes” will be available starting June 28, 2021 through  July 5, 2021. This extra time allows participants to work on small goals and begin to incorporate healthy lifestyle changes into their daily routine as well as have an opportunity to check-in with the instructor and get questions answered.

*This course is not intended to provide individual prescriptions for diabetic meal planning and it is not intended to replace diabetes education furnished by qualified health care professionals.
