Join The Walking Detective with KC Healthy Kids! Kids can conduct walking audits to find clues and collect evidence to show how walkable their communities are. They can build a case report to show city officials what things are working well and what things need to be improved.

Veggie of the Month: Broccoli
Broccoli is a giant bundle of unopened flowers.
Broccoli is in the same plant family as cabbage, turnips, and radishes called the Mustard family (or Brassicas)
World’s Heaviest broccoli was grown by John and Mary Evans of Palmer, Alaska, USA in 1993 weighed 35 pounds.
Tom Landers holds the world record for eating broccoli. He ate a pound of broccoli in just 92 seconds.

To become a card-carrying Co+op Explorer, kids simply need to bring a parent or supervising adult to the customer service desk and ask to become a Co+op Explorer. Or, use our super easy online form. Each child will be issued their own super official Co+op Explorers card and passport!
