Your co-op is excited to announce that the installation of self check out lanes will begin the first week of January in our Lawrence store. (This plan was first announced in the October 2021 issue of our owner newsletter, Connections.) These new lanes will allow shoppers to select the mode of their check out experience, while increasing efficiency and pace across all registers.
We anticipate that the construction and installation process will occur the first two weeks in January. Our shoppers and owners can expect the following to occur in that time frame.
Customer Service Desk and Lane 4 removal.
Café Dining Room will be closed for equipment storage and staging. This area will be used for the set-up and configuration of the self check-outs off of the sales floor.
Our Classroom will be open for public dining.
Self Check Out Lanes installed and staff training begins.
As soon as installation and training is complete, our cafe will reopen and the check out lanes will be available for use.
