Pollinator Garden & Coloring Contest

Check out our new pollinator garden!

We are installing a pollinator garden at 901 Iowa with the help of Maggie’s Farm and Native Lands, LLC. We'll have a variety of native plants to provide food and habitat for pollinators of all kinds - butterflies, bees, and birds!

We need pollinators!

They play an irreplaceable part in food, textile and medicine production. Birds, bats, bees, butterflies, beetles, and other small mammals that pollinate plants are responsible for bringing us one out of every three bites of food. They also sustain our ecosystems and produce our natural resources by helping plants reproduce. They visit flowers to drink nectar or feed off of pollen and transport pollen grains as they move from spot to spot.

Enter our coloring contest!

In honor of the pollinator garden’s launch, we held a staff design contest where employees submitted pollinator-themed coloring sheets. The coloring sheets below are their submissions.

Choose one or all of the designs you like, and return them to the store by Wednesday, July 1. Don’t forget to fill out your name on the form below. We will select three winners. Each will take home a Co+op Explorers prize pack that includes a free Merc Made cookie, a gift card to the store to pick out your favorite snack and more!
